On the day the top 9 prices all went to sons of New, and these 9 bulls averaged £6802. (overall sale 44 sold to average £3182). Stuart Bothwell from Killadeas sold 4 sons of New to average £7744). His daughters are breeding exceptionally well, and their progeny already include Perth and Royal Show Champion Killadeas Barney, and top priced bull in Carlisle, Hollymount Vagabond, sold to Ravensworth Charolais for 21,000gns. New is an easy calving sire. Dam: Rumsden Thistle is a daughter of the exceptional Doonally Prince, sire of the famous Turbo, and also sire of the dam of our 2009 Royal Show Junior Champion heifer. Thistle comes from a long line of exceptionally good breeding cows, easy calving, very fertile and with excellent temperament.
