History

Optima was lightly shown as a split aged two year old, and was 6th at the Royal Show, and 1st at Surrey County, her only shows. She is breeding really well. Her second calf was Tosca, unbeaten as a yearling in 2003 including 1st at The Royal Show, Reserve Breed Champion at Heathfield and Reserve Female Champion at the South of England. Optima's daughters are having a real influence in our herd. We are flushing Tosca, her 2002 daughter, and breeding naturally from Ultima (2003) and Akita (2005). We have just repurchased Sorbonne (2001) on the strength of her outstandign daughter by New sold to Andrew Powell at the Royal Welsh Show, and we will retain Bolero, Optima's 2006 daughter. Her 2007 bull calf by Telemarque will be one for the show team..
