Rumsden SamuraiPedigreeSire: Allanfauld Vagabond (Brampton Petition x Acton Semile) Dam: Rumsden Oolala (Hampton Lancaster x Shoyswell Insignia) HistorySamurai was shown four times as a yearling, and then at Perth, and was unbeaten in his class. He was 1st at South of England, the Royal Show, and Reserve Breed Champion at Kent. He was 1st in his class at Perth and sold for 14,000gns to Elgin, Inverlochy, and Harestone Charolais Herds. Semen is available from Elgin at £25 per dose. Samurai's first calves have included Elgin Utah, Junior Male Champion at The Scottish National Charolais Show at Turriff in 2004. Samurai is breeding really well, and Egin have sold sons to 9,500gns in Perth, and Inverlochy up to 8,500gns in Perth. We had one crossbred steer by Samurai from a commercial heifer that he served before he was sold. This steer won 1st at Ashford Fatstock Show in Dec 2003, aged only 17 months old, and with slaughter premium and steer claim grossed almost a thousand pounds. In June 2006 two daughters of Samurai stood first and second at the Royal Highland Show. At Perth in October 2007 his daughter Elgin Amy was top price female. In March 2008 a son of Amy's full sister, Vienna, was sold privately for £20,000
