A 17 month old limousin cross store bullock from
Rumsden made the top price at the Fortnightly Store Sale at Hailsham
Market on Monday 7th
June
2004, selling for £732 on a blue ticket (one claim made, one to go).
This just goes to show the current confidence in finished beef prices.
The purchaser will be keeping this one for 5 months more in order to
claim the second premium, and then be selling him fat and also claiming
the slaughter premium before the scheme finishes at the end of 2004.
