Pedigree Charolais, Limousin and Commercial Cattle from the Rumsden Herd in South East England

The Champion beast at the South East Marts Annual Spring Show of Fat Cattle was a limousin cross steer from Rupert Taylor Ltd (Rumsden). The steer was 15 months old, and weighed 630Kgs liveweight, and sold to Arthur Harriott for the day's top price of £1.24/kg (£781.20 gross). Taking into account the steer premium already claimed on this animal in 2003 (£142.52 with extensification) and slaughter premium (£54.17) this steer grossed £977.89.
