Kent County Show 11 - 13 July 2008

We had a fantastic Kent Show to end our show season this year. Cruiserweight was 1st and Breed Champion, and then in an exceptionally strong Interbreed Championship he stood Reserve Interbreed (and Best Male) behind the exceptional Limousin heifer Sundale Bonbon that was taking her 3rd Interbreed title in 2008. Bianca was 1st and Reserve breed Champion, and then won the 21 strong heifer sweepstakes class on the third day. Akita was also 1st, so unbeaten in her class this year, and she won the Interbreed cow and calf class on the third day, and then with Bianca stood 2nd in the Interbreed pairs competition. Comet won a 5 strong yearling heifer class despite being the youngest in it by over a month.

South of England Show 12 - 14 June 2008

At South of England we were delighted with the performance of our team across the board. Akita again won her class, 3 from 3 in 2008. Bianca was second, and reserve Female Champion, to a very good heifer from Balbithan that went on to win the Interbreed Championship. Copper was 1st and new recruit to the team, Rumsden Comet, was 2nd and behaved very well considering she only had a halter on for the first time 4 days previously. Young bulls Cruiserweight and Csar were 1st and 4th in their class, and went on to be 2nd and 3rd in the MLC Superbull class. Cruiserweight was Male Champion, Reserve Breed Champion and junior Champion. In the commercial ring Utterly Butterly won again, and Black Pud was 4th. Both were sold at the show to top commercial showman Kevin Ludgate, for further showing.

Surrey County Show 26 May 2008

At Surrey the weather was against us. However, we still came away with first prizes for Rumsden Akita, Rumsden Bianca, Rumsden Copper and Graywood Calamazu. Akita was Breed Champion and Bianca was Reserve, and with Calamazu they won the Interbreed group competition.

Heathfield Show 24 May 2008

Heathfield Show Pictures

Our first show was Heathfield on 24th May 2008. We had Champion Charolais, Female Interbreed and Supreme Interbreed with Rumsden Bianca, and Reserve Champion Charolais, Interbreed Male and Reserve Supreme with Rumsden Cruiseweight. Also 1st With Rumsden Akita, 2nd with Bevern Caraway and 3rd with Graywood Coco . In the commercial Utterly Buttery won the potential heifer class and Blackpud was 2nd in the Open Heifer class and Reserve Champion Butchers Beast. We also won the interbreed group of three. What a day!
