Pedigree Charolais, Limousin and Commercial Cattle from the Rumsden Herd in South East England

Success for Oldburgh YFC Team at Kent Show 2006

Rumsden stock helped the young stock people fromOldburgh Manor School YFC team to great success in the massive Kent Show YFC section. Star of the show was Snowball, a BBx heifer out of Tricky Woo. She won her class for under 10 month old beef x calves, and then went on to beat the up to 18 month section to stand champion crossbred calf. She was then placed Supreme Champion over the pedigree beef champion and the dairy champion, beating over 100 entries.

Standing Reserve Champion in the purebred beef champion was Rumsden Amber, a september 06 born pedigree lim heifer by Rocky. Also picking up good placings were Rumsden Aurora (Ped. Charolais), Tottie (Lim X) and Gossamer (Chx). Congratulations to Sam, handler of snowball. Sam's calf unfortunately died about 3 weeks before the show, so he had only 3 weeks to train Snowball from scratch as a replacement.
